    A lot of EU confidence numbers are looking better. But the banking results were abyssmal. PMI #'s yesterday were generally bad too.

    • David White: It almost seems like the moment traders are controlling consumer confidence, etc., completely detaching it from reality.

    • Josh Krause: Consumer confidence is a lagging indicator IMO. People see a rising market and are more confident. How were confidence numbers in Sept 08?

    • Josh Krause: Or May 2007? They are not forward looking to enough of a degree to trade off of. Thought the 2007-2008 decline gave tons of hints.
